Jennifer Smucker, Worship Director Scott Smucker, Creative Director

Jennifer was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and as a child-attended South Austin Nazarene Church.
While studying at the University of Texas School of Music, she served as interim Music Director and taught voice and piano to students of all ages. She graduated from UT in 1993 with a degree in music and has attended New Hope Church since 1995, where she quickly became involved in the worship team and eventually was asked to be on staff as Worship Director in 1998.  Jennifer along with her husband Scott (also a musician with an art degree) has worked to create an environment of Worship in the weekly services.  They work together on every special event and performance throughout the year using their many creative gifts to glorify God.  Jennifer has also led a number of Women’s Bible studies as well as worked with the Youth Ministry.  She is married to her college sweetheart, is a proud home schooling mom of five and strongly believes that the voice of each worshipper is a unique and precious gift that needs to be used for God’s glory and adoration.

Cindy Weaver, Children's Director

Cindy Weaver has been involved in many areas of ministry since coming to New Hope in 1990 from custodian to secretary and nursery director to children’s ministry.  Cindy has a degree in Music Education and has lived in Austin since 1981.  Cindy serves each week in mid-week and Sunday children’s programs and seeks to model Christ to our children and provide a solid biblical foundation for each child to build upon.
