New Here?

Our Statement of Purpose We purpose to glorify God by helping people become committed believers active in worship, evangelism, and discipleship, reaching our community and beyond for Christ.

About our Church
New Hope Church is a Wesleyan church in its denominational affiliation but is a church that has become a home for people of many denominational backgrounds.  Our emphasis is to demonstrate the love of Christ to others in practical and tangible ways and to help them grow in their understanding of biblical truth resulting in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is growing and abundant. We believe that the Scriptures are true and inspired of God and from them we learn how to live out our Christian faith with boldness, conviction and understanding.

Our Congregation
We are a friendly interracial body of believers that seek to reach out to the hurting, needy and all those who need Christ’s love. We believe in the importance of fellowship and the regular meeting together of believers. This will encourage growth in the individual believer’s life.  We believe in bearing one another’s burdens and rejoicing with those who are rejoicing.   Our congregation seeks to meet the needs of all age groups.  Families, singles, seniors, and teens join together in the life of the body with joy.

Causes

South Austin Pregnancy Center provides education, love and support to women in our community as they make important pregnancy decisions. They offer counsel on the emotional, spiritual and physical aspects of pregnancy and information concerning available options.

LifeCare Pregnancy Services is a non-profit pregnancy center committed to providing women and men with accurate, up-to-date information in order to make informed decisions about pregnancy, sexual health, and relationships. Because everyone should have access to this information, all our services are free of charge.

Champions for Life is a prison ministry and is unique because they equip Christians for front-line evangelism and immediately put them on the front line in the world’s cities, schools and prisons. They like to say that their ministry is 10% training and 90% application.

Texas Reach Out Ministries was started by David and Margie Peña in 2001, and is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization specializing in transitional housing for those released from prison and those who are homeless as a result of unsuccessful integration into society after an extended prison stay.

Hephzibah Ministries for over 100 years has cared for children who were orphaned, displaced or removed from their homes because of abuse and neglect. Through the Great Depression, the World Wars, the Korean and Viet Nam Conflicts, the baby boomer era and now into the 21st century, we have been ministering to the needs of hurting children.

An Invitation

As Pastor of New Hope Church, I want to invite you to come and discover the joy of being connected to a fellowship of Christians who genuinely care about one another. We live in a very, stressed-filled culture, and people need a place where they can be encouraged by the support they find in a loving, Christ-centered environment.

New Hope is a family of faith that helps each other to develop a biblical foundation for living life. As a result, people’s lives begin to experience a new joy and peace that was lacking in their life before. New Hope is a place for you to come and grow with a Christian community and know that when difficult events come your way, you can rest in the fact that you have a caring, Christian family by your side.  I hope you will come and give us an opportunity to meet you and be a part of what God is doing in your life.

Sincerely yours, Pastor Mark J. Weaver

College & Career Ministries

“Vision for this Season”

The College and Career Ministry does not exist to fill space as ‘another ministry in the church’.  The main intent of our hearts is to see young adults come into a real encounter with God, that they may “taste and see that the Lord is good” as Psalm 34 speaks of.  Without a true encounter of who God is and His desire to have us walk in FULL unity with Him we cannot ever expect to bring Glory to God.  In this hour many young people have much biblical knowledge but little knowledge of the Intimacy of Christ in them.  Our hope is to see the Lord bring about a change and allow a generation of young people to become the catalyst to the larger Body that we might attain to the maturity that God so longs for in His people (see Ephesians 4:14-16).

Currently we have 2 main meetings on a weekly basis:

-          Sunday Morning 9:15 (at New Hope, upstairs in main building)

-          Friday Nights 7:30 (at Johnson House – call for directions)

Weekly Ministry Opportunity:

-          Wednesday Night Youth Ministry

  • The CC Ministry team currently serves to help facilitate the Wednesday night gathering for the Youth
  • If you feel led of the Lord to help us in this effort please contact Bobby or Stacy Johnson for more information
